Books and Reading
A friend has lent me a copy of a book I've wanted to read for ages, and I'm taking it on holiday with me later today.
Has anyone else read it and if so, did you enjoy "The Seven Daughters of Eve"? Evidently it is fascinating, all about DNA and genetics.

Re: Books and Reading
No I have not read that. I could get totally lost in something like that.
I am reading a book by Judy Westwater right now called 'Street kid' I have just finished her book 'Nowhere to run' Both of them are about her life, all over the country, by mostly Africa.
They are 'Cant put them down' books. Start and you have to finish.

Re: Books and Reading
I just finished a sci-fi book The Hawks of Kamalon by Michael Reisig. It was a really fun read reminding me of when I first discovered sci-fi and when everything was upbeat and fun.
This one has everything from The Battle of Britain to The Alamo and the good guys win hahaha...

Re: Books and Reading
Sounds like fun.
I've just finished reading "Brideshead Revisited" by Evelyn Waugh.

Re: Books and Reading
Yes. it's a remake of the 1980s tv series starring Jeremy Irons, with Emma Thompson as Lady Marchmain. I'm looking forward to take one.
