No forgiveness needed! That is something very special, and I for one am dang proud of you!!
Ok......before I was a retired retired Sailors wife....
I was a wife and Mother
I was a Kitchen aid for son's middle school
Before a kitchen aid, I was a waitress
Before a waitress, I was a Worm Sorter (YES! Someone has to put exactly one or 2 dozen earthworms in those Styrofoam containers that fishermen buy!)
Before I was a Worm Sorter, I was a Forest Service worker, clearing hiking trails in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Before working for the Forest Service I was an Underground Tungsten Miner for Union Carbide,
Before a Miner I was a hide sorter for a leather and glove factory
Before a hide sorter, I worked on a Motherboard assembly line for pinball machines
Before assembly line worker, I was a Motel maid......
before Motel maid, I was in high school looking for a scholarship in Track and Field (got hurt, and hence the line of crappy minimum wage jobs!)
Before that......just a kid in school.

Thank you Queeny. I am starting to get excited now.
You have had a very interesting life. It's amazing the people you meet like this who's paths would never cross yours otherwise. I've never met a worm sorter before, nor a lade miner. We've only had those since our new Constitution forbids jobs being defined as "men's" and "women's" work. Very interesting indeed.

Re: Before I was a...
Gee there is a wealth of experience in all fields here and some very interesting occupations - all different, and all representing lots of hard work!
I'm so boring in comparison.
Before I retired my last job was working for myself where I had a business from home running a secretarial service.
Before that I was PA to the Company Secretary of a large group of blue chip companies.
Prior to that I was PA to the technical director of a large international company which made soap powders, shampoo, toothpaste, and various other things!
Before that I was PA to the Factory Manager of a tea and coffee company.
Before that, private secretary to the MD of a steel company.
Before that, secretary to a Chartered Accountant.
Before that, secretary to the Sales Director of EMI records.
Before that, I worked as a secretary at Lever Bros for the Marketing Director.
Before that, some happy years at the SABC as secretary to different people in two cities.
My first ever job was one that lasted three months, as secretary in an accounting firm - left that to join the world of broadcasting.
Prior to that, was at college.
Before that, school.
In between all this I married, had two children, and had big gaps between jobs so that I could be a stay-at-home Mum. As I said, very boring and not what I wanted to do at all, but I have few regrets.
