That's a lovely color. Very pretty. I must look for that color when I visit our nursery.

Re: Something to brighten your day
That's gorgeous - I love hibiscus! If you are an enthusiastic photographer PKCaptSun, please consider coming on over to Anything Goes and joining in the photo fun there?
We have a photo of the month competition and it would be great to see more of your pics, and I'm sure you'd enjoy it!

Re: Something to brighten your day
That's how I finally convinced PK to join Runboard (but I couldn't remember the link to your contest)

A click on the siggy, and you'll be there - AG, under Photogaphy - lots more to read and discuss too PK!
Apart from the normal monthly photo entries we're also inviting everyone to submit photos for the international board - different cities all over the world, one pic to be a building and one a scenic view. It's a big wide world out there with so much beauty in it!

Re: Something to brighten your day
We've closed the contest for this year but we are running one to go onto the League of Nationalities for a marquee I want to put there, similar to the one on the Sports Board. Those don't have to be your own photos but they have to be copyright-free pictures. However I would really like to display some original work.
Here is the link for submissions.
What we are looking for is one natural and one man-made picture of the same area, as you can see in the sidebar today which is featuring a picture of a lake and a building in Helsinki in Finland.
I'll be changing the sidebar pictures every day during the duration of the competition to make sure that everybody who comes to the site sees the submissions.
Please do bring some photos over there. And in January when we start the new year's photo competition, PK will be more than welcome to join in the fun.
Just on another note, this board is in the first list of nominees being voted as AG's favourite board of 2008, in case you want to give it one of your five votes. Also please nominate any board you think are worthy, the poll is in our polls forum and the nominations in our Runboards forum. Please, Rick, join in the fun and invite friends you know on other boards to help us engender neighborliness among the boards.

Re: Something to brighten your day
One of these days, I post some pictures of the ones I have growing in my garden. They are not great right now because it is the beginning of the season, but they are getting there.
I do have last year's pictures though.
