Re: Timetable for end of Iraq War!
There is not much he can do about anything until he actually become president. He is not the sitting president right now so even if he came up with the ultimate plan to end all the world's problems, they would be just that unless the sitting president implemented them.
And why is taking the wisdom of the past into his cabinet such a big deal, isn't that exactly what GWB did when he became president, or am I wrong in saying that Colin Powell and Donald Rumsfeld served in his father's cabinet?

Re: Timetable for end of Iraq War!
HIllary has accepted Secretary of State.
There are a whole lot more well-seasoned Democrats who have accepted to serve. This shows that despite Obama's inexperience, he will be surrounded by a whole lot of people who know what they are doing. I had visions of Oprah as Sec of State (eeeeeek!)

Re: Timetable for end of Iraq War!
So GWB has announced the date - another three years, and all troops will be withdrawn from Iraq by the end of 2011.
You guys can cancel your bet about Obama taking credit!
I just wish it could all be over sooner - a lot can happen in three years.
