Thanks Sertab and Erika, I know what you mean. I see the boards on BOTW and I visit them, sometimes I find posts that I made there months ago and forgot about, now I tick the box to tell me when people reply, I still forget to do that sometimes, but I'm getting there.

Re: Hello I'm Morwen Oronor

You've all done such great introductions so I thought maybe I should tell you a bit more about myself.
I am, as you know, also one of the older members of Runboards.
I've lived in a whole lot of different cities around South Africa, finally in Johannesburg where my children grew up before I retired and moved down to the south eastern coast of South Africa to a little village called Pennington with my two dogs, a cat (she died earlier this year) and my husband, who you all know as Giv.
We've been together for 23 years, having met when I was widowed. He is a perfectly wonderful man who is as different from me as chalk from cheese. He is stoical, steadfast, true and crazy about sport. Whereas I am a trail-blazer, loud, pushy and self-opinionated rushing madly into decisions without thinking them through. And I hate sport.
I love music, television and movies. I enjoy reading and will read anything I can lay my hands on. I read all the news on the internet every day, a daily newspaper and usually have two books, at least going at the same time.
Having grown up in a very strict orthodox household, I was denied further education as a youngster but my stubbornness forced my father to let me train as a nurse.
I stopped working altogether to raise my children, 4 wonderful sons and to force them to get as much education as they were able to, I suppose because I so much desired it for myself.
About 12 years ago while visiting my eldest at his university I told him that I wished I had had the opportunity to attend university. The children banded together and bullied me into applying to our distance-learning university to do some courses, just to see how I would get on. At the time I was managing a human resources department and I needed to learn about employment law so I undertook what I intended to be a industrial psychology degree to be of use in my career. But ill-health and a redundancy package forced me into early retirement and then in 2000 my eldest sister, and best friend, died of breast cancer, while my mother developed senile dementia, requiring my fulltime attention so I put my books away.
To cut a very long story short, I finally completed my undergraduate degree and had it confirmed by the university this past week, with a distinction in Ancient History, my graduation is in early October.
Also my eldest son is off to Scotland in three weeks with his new bride to attend Edinburgh University and to begin the required study for a PhD in Philosophy.
One of the other three sons is married to a thoroughly delightful girl, who is my good friend, he is in IT, number three son is a teacher at a High School in Johannesburg and my youngest is an interior designer with a large design company also in Johannesburg. He is talking about giving up a very lucrative career to teach English in Germany.
That's me. Crazy about my husband, my boys, their wives and my dogs. And I also have made some really good internet friends, who I hope to meet in person some day.

Mo is our resident board-aholic if you don't know her. She has come a long way from her 1st attempt. Always a pleasure to see you at a new location Mo! emoticon

That's in two days, give me a week. When I'm away in Johannesburg for a week next month, you'll all think the boards have shut down. I am a self-confessed chatterbox.

And I'm a close second but don't have as much time as Mo, or I assure you I'd already be ahead of her!!
