Re: Answer?
quote: It is a wonderful way of looking at life. If more people felt this way, maybe there would be an end to all the terrible things that people do to each other.
Ah, if only it were that easy,
But it won't end, because people are selfish, evil by nature and fallen, living under a curse.
"Survival of the fittest" I guess, eh?

Re: Answer?
Good idea! And it's taught in the Bible.

Re: Answer?
Hi Queeny
We all love you, you know that right? It is so easy to just leave people alone and let them go their own way but when you love someone you will do just about anything just to let them know it.
So I look at all the comments here as a expression of love and concern by all parties and find myself truly blessed to see the passion expressed over what we believe and how we live our lives

Re: Answer?
Very true. Even though we we might disagree on philosophy, I think at heart, we are all 'good' people.

Re: Answer?
Speak for yourselves, I'm not good. quote: Order ofMelchizedek wrote:
Here's the long answer to the original question "Why should I let you into heaven?"
I am a miserable sinner, have broken every one of the Ten Commandments, and am fully deserving of divine wrath and everlasting punishment in hell for transgressing the Law. I could not save myself by any of the "good" things I've done - none of them could erase the lawlessness that I had practiced and the willful rebellion against my Creator. Justice demands punishment.
But by God's grace, I have repented of these things, and accepted the payment for my sins in the death of God's only begotten Son. For the wages of sin are death, and God's perfect, sinless Son paid that price for me, that I might be aquitted of all charges and allowed everlasting life in heaven. I trust in Him alone for my entrance into heaven, and any "good works" I have done are solely out of gratitude for this free gift of undeserved mercy.
Praise God!
The rich young ruler in Matt 19 thought he was good. But as it turned out, his "god" was his money, and he went away sad because he wasn't good at all.
I guess it's just a matter of whether you know it or not.
