Re: Answer?

Well MEL......I think I'm going to be just fine as I am....not going to worry myself about the afterlife if there is one.
Cause if there is........the it will be sorted out for me, won't it? emoticon

And MO.......that is correct.....if you say "I care" now.....you won't feel guilty after that person is gone cause you did not tell them in life.......
I believe GARTH BROOKS wrote a song about that...

If Tomorrow Never Comes Lyrics
Artist(Band):Garth Brooks

Sometimes late at night
I lie awake and watch her sleeping
She's lost in peaceful dreams
So I turn out the lights and lay there in the dark
And the thought crosses my mind
If I never wake up in the morning
Would she ever doubt the way I feel
About her in my heart

(chorus)

If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
if my time on earth were through
She must face this world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes

'Cause I've lost loved ones in my life
Who never knew how much I loved them
Now I live with the regret
That my true feelings for them never were revealed
So I made a promise to myself
To say each day how much she means to me
And avoid that circumstance
Where there's no second chance to tell her how I feel

*chorus*

So tell that someone that you love
Just what you're thinking of
If tomorrow never comes.

Re: Answer?

quote:

It is a wonderful way of looking at life. If more people felt this way, maybe there would be an end to all the terrible things that people do to each other.

Ah, if only it were that easy,
But it won't end, because people are selfish, evil by nature and fallen, living under a curse.

"Survival of the fittest" I guess, eh?

Unless you "out love them"....I've found that nothing drives my 'enemies' or those who are nasty, more crazy than by being nice to them! emoticon

Good idea! And it's taught in the Bible.

And it's learned in life.... emoticon
I think it's better to find out for oneself, than to have someone "TELL" me what to believe, or how to think or behave......
Just live life.... emoticon

Re: Answer?

Hi Queeny emoticon

We all love you, you know that right? It is so easy to just leave people alone and let them go their own way but when you love someone you will do just about anything just to let them know it.

So I look at all the comments here as a expression of love and concern by all parties and find myself truly blessed to see the passion expressed over what we believe and how we live our lives emoticon

Very true. Even though we we might disagree on philosophy, I think at heart, we are all 'good' people.

Re: Answer?

Speak for yourselves, I'm not good.
quote:

Order ofMelchizedek wrote:

Here's the long answer to the original question "Why should I let you into heaven?"

I am a miserable sinner, have broken every one of the Ten Commandments, and am fully deserving of divine wrath and everlasting punishment in hell for transgressing the Law. I could not save myself by any of the "good" things I've done - none of them could erase the lawlessness that I had practiced and the willful rebellion against my Creator. Justice demands punishment.
But by God's grace, I have repented of these things, and accepted the payment for my sins in the death of God's only begotten Son. For the wages of sin are death, and God's perfect, sinless Son paid that price for me, that I might be aquitted of all charges and allowed everlasting life in heaven. I trust in Him alone for my entrance into heaven, and any "good works" I have done are solely out of gratitude for this free gift of undeserved mercy.

Praise God!

The rich young ruler in Matt 19 thought he was good. But as it turned out, his "god" was his money, and he went away sad because he wasn't good at all.

I guess it's just a matter of whether you know it or not.
