National Debt Clock Runs Out Of Digits!
Weird News Stories (NEW YORK) - The National Debt Clock in New York has finally run out of digits to record the country’s national debt!
The clock was originally set up in 1989 by the late Seymour Durst when the level of debt was a mere $2.7 trillion.
But the US national debt recently surpassed $10 trillion, and the clock was no longer able to display the full amount.
According to the clock’s owners, two more zeros will be added, allowing the clock to record up to a quadrillion dollars of national debt in the future.
As a temporary measure the clock’s electronic dollar sign has been replaced with the extra digit.
It is estimated by some economists that the US national debt level could reach $11 trillion as a result of the government’s recent $700bn bail-out plan for the financial institutions.

Yep me too! Especially at the moment, just a fraction of it would be so welcome. We've discovered that moving is very costly and have been spending money as if it were Monopoly money this past week: I'm afraid to check the account on the internet banking site, putting it off till tomorrow lol!
