Don't see why you can't believe in both.

Re: Only 39% believe in Evolution!

Surely if you believe that God was the original creator, then evolution makes that original creation even more profound. Rather than make God look insignificant and unimportant, evolution makes the idea of a all-powerful being lighting the spark that made the earth into a far more important and super-powerful being.
A bit like bringing up a child and giving it the best you've got and then watching it surpass all your expectations.
That's how I would think it should be seen. A good parent would see the unexpected superbness of his creation as a fantastic reward.
It don't think that evolution detracts from the power of a god, it rather adds to it.

Grolar bear.

Show it to me when it turns into a giraffe and I'll be impressed. emoticon

Because they contradict one another. Generally, Darwinian evolution attempts to eliminate the idea that a Creator is needed for creation.
If you really dig into it, macro evolution is quite a silly concept.

Never known a bear change into a giraffe ever - that's a weird sort of argument.
Don't even believe the story about water changing into wine - never happened to me, except the other way round when I drink wine and it turns to "water" in my kidneys lol.

Exactly my point! One kind of animal NEVER becomes another, they reproduce after their own kind, just like the Bible teaches.

Now that's interesting, isn't it? Have you seen the size of a dialysis machine that does the job of the kidneys? Awesome the way God created those kidneys to work, isn't it? The only thing more amazing would be if the kidneys just fell together all by themselves. emoticon

Science is a process that humans use to find answers, not the answers themselves. Of course science exists. emoticon

My point as well LG emoticon I have no trouble with the process but I do have trouble with seeing one process as being true then making a leap that says another process must be true without corresponding evidence. The Darwinian hypothesis, as described by Darwin, is no longer accepted as true today. There are at least 3 variants of the original concept/idea which are supported by some evidence but there have been no tests that define which (if any) of the current concepts being debated point to the reality and every one of the current ideas is using the term evolution to claim they know the answer. Defining falsification claims in a realistic manner would be a very good start yet I have yet to see such a definition agreed upon by the different evolution camps.
