So you're calling me a liar.
If I really cared enough about your book, I would say bring it on. I don't care so, I'll ignore your thread instead

Mel, it really depends on which part of the Bible or which topic of the Bible a pop-quiz is on. On Old Testament history I think Mo would score very well, matter of fact I would be very surprised if she didn't.

One thing I am fairly certain of though. Mo has never given any indication that she is a liar on any of the boards I have seen her on. Remember, we meet here with the premise that we will respect one another.

Mo hates liars and I know she would never fudge a result or say anything that wasn't true.

I'm not even going to bother with this - it's not my scene, and I don't want to get into any arguments - especially not in the silly season lol!

Well, there's no way to prove this sort of thing online, just my opinion from what I've learned of you through prior discussions we've had. As I stated, I could be wrong.
You're free to do as you choose. If all that you've said to me in the past is true, I wouldn't think you could care less what my opinion was.

I have not had the same experience as you have with Morwen, I was only stating what I think. I'm sure everyone else here disagrees with me, and that's fine by me.
If I'm wrong, I apologize, but it cannot be proven one way or the other. I'll not bring it up again.

True enough that nothing can be proved online but all I was doing was vouching for Mo's integrity.

For all we know you could be writing from a computer in prison - who knows? Shall I say it's "just my opinion?"
Only stating what I could be thinking ... same diffs?

Sure, you could be right, and you're certainly entitled to your thoughts as well as expressing them here.
I'm not offended by what people think. Many people get saved in prison - I have a friend that gives his testimony on the street corner, which includes some time in prison. He is a changed man from what he tells his life to be like before!

All we have online is what we've been told and how we've seen people answer posts and react with others. With some, I feel that I know them quite well - but I could still be deceived, that's a danger of online discussions.

I would vouch for my friends integrity as well, I don't fault you for that. I guess I just have a different perspective from my discussions with Morwen, as well as other posts that I've read but refrained from getting involved in.

So Petal, tell me. Is that really what you see in me?

I don't want to be seen that way, it is not my intent and I don't want to be like that. Pray for me, would you? That the Lord would bring it to my attention, work in me and change me, conforming me to be more and more like Jesus Christ.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me, and if I'm seen as uncompromising in the Gospel truth, that's fine. But I've been thinking this over and as for the the matter at hand that brought all this up, this verse comes to mind:
Ephesians 5:3-4
But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.

I will concede that I was out of line, regardless of my own personal thoughts, to post what I did, in essence yes, I was calling Morwen a liar and doubting her integrity. That was wrong of me, and I apologize to everyone here for my actions regarding that.

Morwen, I'm sorry and ask for your forgiveness.

Thank you Petal and Rick for your support.
Actually it is impossible for me to care less about what Mel thinks of me.

Apology accepted.
Just one more observation to make, I showed that test to a group of atheists and all of them, without exception scored higher than the average.
Tells you something doesn't it. It would be interesting to see just how much theists know about evolution - like nothing!
I won't be back here. I do know more than I need to about the OT for various reasons. It is that knowledge that drove me to dump religion in principle at around the age of 15 and to completely walk away from it a year later, the minute I left school.
I've never had any reason to change my mind, I cannot find anything in any religion that gives me the freedom to think for myself and to appreciate my life the way unbelief does. I'm not going to change my mind ever so arguing with me about it is a total waste of time.
I won't be back to play anymore of these games.

Thank you Morwen. I didn't think you cared what I think, but I was out of line and don't want to be like that. You can play these silly little quizzes or not that's up to you, but I won't hassle you on it anymore.

I wouldn't say that theists know nothing about evolution - it's taught in our schools.

On the other hand, you are correct in saying many atheists know more about what the Bible says than most so called Christians, and that is really sad. It shouldn't be that way. But for salvation, we are not saved by our knowledge (of the Bible or anything else), but only by the grace of God.
He uses the foolish things to confound the wise (1 Cor 1:27, 2:14), and I count it a great privilege to be one of those foolish and weak things that He will use to accomplish His will on earth. Only through Him do I get anything done, and all to His glory!

I'm sorry that you feel as you do, Morwen, I really am, regardless of how you feel about me or Christianity in general.
I am certain that a fate known as the second death in the lake of fire awaits many, and I wouldn't wish anyone to go there.
