Re: Custom Titles.

I use different custom titles on all my boards, I match them to the theme of the board. Makes it interesting except when someone left because she objected to being called a plebeian - even though I explained that it meant 'ordinary citizen' she said she was insulted and left.

Do I changed the description to 'citizen'

Re: Custom Titles.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. The Romans used it as a description of people who were not patricians (high born) i.e. ordinary folk, until the plebeians revolted and demanded that they be treated as equals.
Even though the plebeians were there fighting with the patricians to oust the kings from Rome to make it into a Republic, it was an aristocratic and not a democratic republic. Plebeians could voice their opinions but they had no say in the running of the Republic and were not allowed to be voted into public office; their main complaint was debt. Because they were poor, they borrowed money from the rich and when they couldn't repay it, they became virtual slaves.
So they revolted and the laws of debt were changed and 'new' men could be voted into the Senate. This kind of aristocratic (patrician) class system still exists today even in republics like America, where people like the Kennedys are treated like 'patricians'.
There really is nothing wrong with being called a plebeian.
Another word that is loosely used to insult is the word 'civilized'. In it's strictest sense it means 'having civic institutions in place' which is something even the most 'uncivilized' people on earth have.
Anyway, I changed it, I'd rather keep a member and drive them mad with my long stories than lose members and not have anyone to lecture.

OK, Erika, If I did it right you should have your custom title now. I didn't see a place to put in graphics but the text is there...
