Proof that God Exists - for those who can handle it
Here’s absolute proof that God exists, without using the Bible or faith.
Are you ready? When you look at a building, how do you know that there was a builder? You can't see him, hear him, touch him, or smell him. The building is absolute, scientific, 100% evidence there was a builder. You cannot have a building without a builder. You don't need faith to believe in a builder, all you need is eyes that can see and a brain that works.
The same deep, rich, scientific intellectual principle works with paintings and painters. When I look at a painting, how can I know that there was a painter? I can't see him, hear him, touch him, or smell him. Well, the painting is absolute, scientific, 100% evidence there was a painter. You cannot have a painting without a painter. Paintings don't happen by themselves. You don't need faith to believe in a painter, all you need is eyes that can see and a brain that works.
And exactly the same principle applies with God. Just as I don't need faith to believe in a builder because I have a building as evidence, I don't need faith to believe in a Creator, because I have creation as evidence. Simple.
Unless you want to go with this theory:
Billions and billions of years ago, there was a big bang, caused by … something. Anyway, out of this big bang, somehow order was produced, and it rained and rained on this rock that came out of the big bang. Over time, a bubbly sweet brown liquid formed on the rock. After a while, it formed itself into a cylinder shape, and the outside hardened into an aluminum shell. A tab for opening appeared on the top, and out of the rain, red and white paint fell, forming the words, “Coca-Cola” and “12 fluid ounces” on the side of the can. And that’s how the first Coke was made. Ridiculous theory, isn’t it?
Man is without excuse – your own conscience testifies against you.
--- Lord, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I’m not scared 'cause You’re holding my breath.
I only fear that I don’t have enough time left, to tell the world that there’s no time left. -G1C

Re: Proof that God Exists - for those who can handle it
What a subject name, 'For those who can stand it'
The building is standing because it was built by builders as with a painting it was painted by a painter.
The world was created, but who is to say it was God who created it who really honestly knows?
But it is a fact that a building had to be built by a builder because if not then how would it be safe for people, and painting by someone who paints, and no I am not Atheist, and I don't condemn people who are. I wear a cross 24/7, I have my own beliefs and I consider them to be very private its not something I talk about, and also I get very calm when I am around Vicars & Priests and Pastors, etc. I don't know if you are one, but if you are I certainly don't feel calm around you, in fact I feel an anger that I am not used to inside me, it could be that it is like you are forcing so much on me and I resent it. Yes I know its mebbi my fault because I read it.(or scan it)
But it seems all over this board its the same thing now time and time and time again in every thread in ever section.
I have to admit im going crazy because I would come on here before and it would be fun and general chat and some really interesting topics, sorry but I am just so fed up with this all now. It seems that you are trying to get something across to us all the time, but has it occurred to you that we just may not want to be told.
Is this board a religious board? No its the Neutral Zone where we DO talk about other things, or try too. Take a look down the threads its all the same thing, all over the place.
I am not used to doing posts like this, so I am sorry for it. But I just had to say that.

Re: Proof that God Exists - for those who can handle it
I haven't seen this Arc that all the animals went in and that people keep going on about and I don't think anyone else has seen it either.
And anyway how big would this Arc have to have been to get two of each in?
Just a thought

Mel if we want to hear sermons and get preached at all the time we'll go to our own churches.
As I said before, you're either trying to convince the already converted or convert those that will never believe or be interested so why not just give it up and get on with your life and let us all get on with ours?
The majority of us consider our religious or non religious feelings personal and private and it's not up to you to come bouncing in with all these threads that, as I've said before, are a variation on a theme and very boring. I don't know if you're married or not but if you are I feel sorry for your wife, if this is the only topic of conversation you have.
And Cal, karma for you because as always you make me feel good inside and you make me laugh! Missed you chum - been busy, I take it?

Re: Proof that God Exists - for those who can handle it
Yes, I have been busy and getting a home a bit late when really everyone has left here for the night. I always look in though to see what's been going on. However my most trusted colleague has returned to work on Tiesday after having her baby so signs of improvement already and home earlier tonight.
Off to London tomorrow though so gotta get up around 04:00 am and probably won't be back up until around eightish.
I had a n invitation to attend a function in the Btitish Embassy in Paris next week but by the time I got around to it I found it was fully subscribed. I'm really gutted as I would really have liked to go there. Maybe some other time.

Aw gee, I'm sorry - that would have been excellent; just RSVP right away next time! We would have enjoyed hearing whatever you would've been able to tell us about that.
Glad things are settling for you at work; it'll be good to get chatting again. I was also away for a week, and now Mo has just arrived here in Jhb and she's coming to stay next Tuesday so if you can, maybe we can have a natter together then! Enjoy London lol!

Re: Proof that God Exists - for those who can handle it
The invite came about six weeks ago and I was a bit unsure at the time whether I would have the time to go as it was a two day event.
It would have meant booking hotels and flights so I left it and ended up missing out.

Tough break. Next time make the bookings and you can always cancel them if need be, but you won't lose out. A couple of nights in Paris sounds just the ticket!

Re: Proof that God Exists - for those who can handle it
Paris is lovely Erika and so romantic .. we lived in Toulouse for a while some years ago and enjoyed that very much as well. If you go on Eurostar from London it takes about 3 hours to get there and that's fun - otherwise I'm sure there are always specials on flights across. Haven't ever stayed in Paris, just visited on day trips because we couldn't afford it with our exchange rate, it's very expensive for us!
