I didn't think you cared what I think, but I was out of line and don't want to be like that. You can play these silly little quizzes or not that's up to you, but I won't hassle you on it anymore. I wouldn't say that theists know nothing about evolution - it's taught in our schools. On the other hand, you are correct in saying many atheists know more about what the Bible says than most so called Christians, and that is really sad. It shouldn't be that way. But for salvation, we are not saved by our knowledge (of the Bible or anything else), but only by the grace of God. He uses the foolish things to confound the wise (1 Cor 1:27, 2:14), and I count it a great privilege to be one of those foolish and weak things that He will use to accomplish His will on earth. Only through Him do I get anything done, and all to His glory! I'm sorry that you feel as you do, Morwen, I really am, regardless of how you feel about me or Christianity in general. I am certain that a fate known as the second death in the lake of fire awaits many, and I wouldn't wish anyone to go there. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Order ofMelchizedek)Tue, 08 Dec 2009 11:12:47 +0000 Re: Bible Triviahttps://btimeandagain.runboard.com/p7480,from=rss#post7480https://btimeandagain.runboard.com/p7480,from=rss#post7480Thank you Petal and Rick for your support. Actually it is impossible for me to care less about what Mel thinks of me. Apology accepted. Just one more observation to make, I showed that test to a group of atheists and all of them, without exception scored higher than the average. Tells you something doesn't it. It would be interesting to see just how much theists know about evolution - like nothing! I won't be back here. I do know more than I need to about the OT for various reasons. It is that knowledge that drove me to dump religion in principle at around the age of 15 and to completely walk away from it a year later, the minute I left school. I've never had any reason to change my mind, I cannot find anything in any religion that gives me the freedom to think for myself and to appreciate my life the way unbelief does. I'm not going to change my mind ever so arguing with me about it is a total waste of time. I won't be back to play anymore of these games.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Morwen Oronor)Tue, 08 Dec 2009 02:32:10 +0000 Re: Bible Triviahttps://btimeandagain.runboard.com/p7478,from=rss#post7478https://btimeandagain.runboard.com/p7478,from=rss#post7478I don't want to be seen that way, it is not my intent and I don't want to be like that. Pray for me, would you? That the Lord would bring it to my attention, work in me and change me, conforming me to be more and more like Jesus Christ. I don't expect everyone to agree with me, and if I'm seen as uncompromising in the Gospel truth, that's fine. But I've been thinking this over and as for the the matter at hand that brought all this up, this verse comes to mind: Ephesians 5:3-4 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. I will concede that I was out of line, regardless of my own personal thoughts, to post what I did, in essence yes, I was calling Morwen a liar and doubting her integrity. That was wrong of me, and I apologize to everyone here for my actions regarding that. Morwen, I'm sorry and ask for your forgiveness. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Order ofMelchizedek)Mon, 07 Dec 2009 16:59:55 +0000 Re: Bible Triviahttps://btimeandagain.runboard.com/p7476,from=rss#post7476https://btimeandagain.runboard.com/p7476,from=rss#post7476Sure, you could be right, and you're certainly entitled to your thoughts as well as expressing them here. I'm not offended by what people think. Many people get saved in prison - I have a friend that gives his testimony on the street corner, which includes some time in prison. He is a changed man from what he tells his life to be like before! All we have online is what we've been told and how we've seen people answer posts and react with others. With some, I feel that I know them quite well - but I could still be deceived, that's a danger of online discussions. I would vouch for my friends integrity as well, I don't fault you for that. I guess I just have a different perspective from my discussions with Morwen, as well as other posts that I've read but refrained from getting involved in. So Petal, tell me.
