Re: Melchizedek
quote: Welcome To The Neutral Zone:
The place to discuss topics that may cause debates on other boards without getting yelled at or banned!
Hmm, I feel “yelled at.” Will I be the first to be banned from an unbannable board? I realize there are many who absolutely hate the Lord over here, yet, they are always the first to comment on my posts, even if only to say, “haha, I didn’t read it!”
Now, here's what I don't understand. Maybe someone could enlighten me. If I happen upon a subject that I'm not interested in, I ignore it. If there is a particular poster that I just cannot stand, and the mere mention of their name gives rise to a hateful ball of rage in the pit of my stomach, (and no one here has that effect on me, yet obviously I bring that reaction from them ), then I would avoid their posts. Is it really that difficult? quote: Mel

Do not preach
Well, I've considered your request, I've prayed about it, and it seems to me that it contradicts what Scripture clearly tells me. If you lack the self-control and tolerance to at least ignore me and my posts, then I guess that would be your own issue to deal with, not mine.
As for me, I will stand with Peter and many others who have bled and died in the past so that we have the freedom to preach the life-giving Word of God.
Acts 4:18-19
Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, "Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God's sight to obey you rather than God.
Acts 5:29
Peter and the other apostles replied: "We must obey God rather than men!
So you do what you have to, and I’ll do what I have to.
Hey James! I have been spending way too much time over here lately, and certainly don't mean to overwhelm the place with my topics.
Although most strongly disagree with them, they remain quite popular - most likely due to the strong disagreement.
You might consider a Religion Forum, so that those who are offended by such things, could avoid these type of posts more easily.
I currently have 4 topics that are active, yet have degenerated to rabbit trails and meaningless drivel.
And a side note, I was attempting to reply to Morwen on the Ten Commandments thread - which was hers, and it dissappeared! Are you cleaning up some topics?
--- Lord, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I’m not scared 'cause You’re holding my breath.
I only fear that I don’t have enough time left, to tell the world that there’s no time left. -G1C

Re: Melchizedek
Hi Mel,
That was me not James that moved your topic. Because we want the board to be wide open without having a ton of different forums i.e. religion, atheist, movies, concerts ect we created one forum where multiple types of topics go (kinda like a "mega-chat"). We call it the Nekrit Expanse to let others know they can find just about anything there over time. So your topics are still intact, they just got moved there as my 5 picks to begin the population of the new forum. James picked one and I figure he will pick 4 more since the consensus seems to be for each of us admins to "pick 5" to get it started...

Re: Melchizedek
A few points Mel:
I don't think people here "hate the Lord" at all, I for one don't hate anyone. The mention of your name doesn't bother me at all and I don't dislike you - I've never met you.
What I do dislike is the fact that you just don't seem to get the fact that we don't want to be preached at. Time and again we have mentioned that, and a couple of times I've said you're wasting your time because you're either preaching to those who already believe or otherwise you will never convince those who don't, in the way you go about things, to do so.
I've kept coming back in the hopes of finding out that you might have conceded a point or two to the others who have given very logical explanations about what they think, but mostly you just get sarcastic and then copy and paste screeds of stuff in the hopes of making your point, not successfully.
If you feel called to continue doing that you will have nobody but yourself to read it I'm afraid - because along with the others, I am not prepared to discuss religion with you anymore. I hope, however, that you will be prepared to discuss other subjects quite happily with the rest of us!

Re: Melchizedek
I feel very insulted Mel at being said that I may be one of these people that hates the lord. I am a person who finds the word hate a bad word. I hardly ever use that word. I do not hate anyone or anything.. or do I not hate the Lord. I am private about it as I think it should be. Thankyou.
